The History of Diving - Timeline and Who’s Who of Man Underwater (4th Edition)
and Diving Records and Aquatic Superlatives (4th Edition) showcase the accomplishments of underwater explorers, scientists, engineers, freedivers and adventurers since Man first plunged into the sea more than five millennia ago. These two digital books were originally three of 18 chapters in the Diving Almanac & Book of Records, which was printed in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Due to the digital memory constraints imposed by iBooks, it is impossible to publish all 18 chapters (685 pages) of the original book in a single digital edition. We have therefore decided to focus on the unique content of the sections on History, Diving Records and our Who’s Who.

These three essential chapters are now condensed into two digital publications: (1) The History of Diving - Timeline and Who’s Who of Man Underwater, and (2) Diving Records and Aquatic Superlatives, which at 500+ records, is still the most thorough collection of diving and underwater feats ever compiled.
