Pioneer of the diving liveaboard industry; opened the Dive School in Townsville in 1969; invented the Stinger Suit, later known as Diveskins, in 1977; acquired the world’s first custom built twin hull dive vessel, the Watersport, in 1981; built the Supersport to expand service to the Coral Sea in 1986; built the Spoilsport in 1989; introduced 5 star liveaboard service to Papua New Guinea with the Paradise Sport in 1997; founding member of Global Shark Diving in 2014.

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
