Competitive freediver; Performance Freediving instructor; established several women’s world records including for constant weight in April, 2007 (88 m | 289 ft); captain of the first-place Canadian women’s free-diving team at the 2004 AIDA World Freediving Championships; rescued magician David Blaine during a failed breath-hold dive in 2006.

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
