Wildlife photographer specializing in polar sea life; writer; has photographed over thirty articles, including several covers, for National Geographic Magazine; author of several photography books; former U.S. Navy Atlantic Fleet Combat Camera Group photographer; qualified to fly in the F-4 Phantom and A-6 Intruder to carry out photo assignments; honorary member of the Red Rippers, U.S. Navy Fighter Squadron VF-11.

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
