37.5 m (123 ft) – Tulamben, Bali (Indonesia), December 16, 2012. It took the dive team, led by Mohamed R. Bagherian, two days to install the concrete base and to decorate the tree with balls made from recycled materials and with and glow sticks at a depth of 30.5 m. It was then taken to 37.5 m (123 ft) to set the new world record. The event was held to set a new record and to promote human rights, and freedom of religion and thought.
