First person to swim from Cuba to the USA [No cage]

Diana Nyad swam from Havana to Key West without the aid of a shark cage. Nyad took 53 hours to swim the distance of 180 km (110 miles) in September 2013. She wore a mask, a full bodysuit with gloves and dive booties to protect her skin from jellyfish.
