White shark expert; conservationist; filmmaker; expedition leader; white shark attack survivor (1963); his wounds required 462 stitches; built the first underwater observation cage to dive with the great white shark; co-owner and operator of Rodney Fox Great White Shark Expeditions; co-founder of the Fox Shark Research Foundation (FSRF).

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
