Explored the sunken Lusitania wearing Joseph Peress’ Tritonia Diving Suit in 1935; the subsequent JIM suit (1969) is named after him; dove to the depth of 123 m (404 ft) in Loch Ness to test the Tritonia suit prior to the Lusitania expedition.
