Diving pioneer; aquanaut; participated in virtually every aspect of military, scientific, commercial, sport and technical diving; one of the first divers to explore several Florida underwater cave systems, logging more than 500 dives at Wakulla Springs; served as an aquanaut during SEALAB II and III; wrote the U.S. Navy Guide to Polar Diving; provided technical support for several Hollywood movies including Creature from the Black Lagoon and Airport 77.

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
