Marine biologist and geologist; historical researcher; Director of Blue Water Recoveries; lead the search for HMS Hood at a depth of 3,000 m (9,845 ft) in the Denmark Strait in 2001; has searched for and located 24 major shipwrecks, including the Australian cruiser HMAS Sydney and the German auxiliary cruiser Kormoran, as well as the deepest shipwreck ever found, the German blockade runner Rio Grande, at the depth of 5,762 m (18,904 ft); author of The Shipwreck Hunter and The Search for the Sydney.
