Oldest marine invertebrate

A specimen of white “black coral” (Leiopathes glaberrima) collected off Hawaii between 2001 and 2007 had an estimated age of 4,265 (±44) years old using radiocarbon dating methods. This would also make it the oldest known animal on Earth.
