Underwater photographer and photojournalist; has produced over 20 destination guidebooks for various publishers; founder and operator of the Seaviews retail scuba diving trade show, in Oakland (California), which drew over 10,000 divers annually for over 10 years; member of the Society of American Travel Writers and the North American Travel Journalists Association; former executive editor and photo pro for ReefID; founded Dive Galápagos in 2012; founded Rosenberg Ebooks, a publisher of interactive scuba and travel guides, in 2013; began diving in the early 1970s.

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
