Freelance underwater photojournalist and public speaker; contributing editor for X-Ray Magazine; co-owner of Orca Oceanic Diving & Photography; former director of the Dive Industry Association of British Columbia and the Maritime Documentation Society; founded Orca Oceanic Research & Salvage in Anchorage in 1980; moved the business to Washington State with business partner Ron Akeson under the name Adventures Down Under (ADU) in 1991; began writing for dive magazines in 1995; technical and wreck diver; diving instructor; began diving in Anchorage, Alaska, in 1979.
