Pioneer manufacturer and diver; founded Scubapro with Dick Bonin in 1963; opened one of the first snorkeling and spearfishing schools in the Western Hemisphere (Haiti) circa 1950; instigator of the Christ of the Abyss statue in the John Pennekamp State Park in the Florida Keys; founder of the Dalla Valle Vineyards with his wife Naoko in 1982.
