Founder of DACOR (Davison Corporation) in 1954; designed and marketed DACOR’s first regulator, the “Dial a Breath,” with the assistance of Wally Mitchell and other engineers, in 1955; supplied his close friend Mel Fisher with DACOR diving equipment during his treasure-hunting dives; DACOR was sold to Mares in 1998. fought with the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific during WWII; first dove using Japanese underwater goggles at Guam.
