450 m (1,476 ft) – The eHoloCam 3D holographic camera recorded an image of a marine organism in the North Sea while deployed by the RV Scotia of the Fisheries Research Services Marine Laboratory in Aberdeen in March 2007. The eHoloCam is designed to operate as deep as 2,000 m (6,562 ft).
