Photographer; dive operator; author; began studying the white shark at Dyer Island in 1992; co-founded African Shark Eco-Charters in 1996; founded Apex Shark Expeditions with his wife Monique in 2000; has observed and catalogued over 10,000 predatory events since 2000; has been featured in numerous white shark documentaries; observed a record 28 different white sharks feeding on a Bryde’s whale carcass over a period of 18 hours in June 2000.

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
