Pioneer of underwater photographer; founder of Seahawk Press in 1956; built his own housing for a Leica camera to start his underwater photography career; collaborated with Jordan Klein to design and manufacture a plastic housing for the Kodak Brownie of which 3,000 units were sold through Abercrombie and Fitch for $14.95 USD; manufactured aluminum underwater housings for Argus, Contax and Leica cameras with his wife under the name Seahawk Products in 1953; made his first cover story in National Geographic Magazine in 1962.

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
