President of Aggressor Fleet and Dancer Fleet; co-founder of Aggressor Fleet with wife Anne Hasson, and captain of the first Cayman Aggressor in 1984; helped install the first 112 permanent moorings in the Caymans and took the concept to Belize, Turks and Caicos, the Bay Islands, Kona and Truk Lagoon; invented SASY (Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth); founder of Oceans for Youth, a program of marine science, diving and awareness to inspire the next generation of divers; co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Sea of Change Foundation, which funds marine education and conservation initiatives; underwater photographer; instructor; began scuba diving in 1967; became a diving instructor in 1973; owned and operated the liveaboard King Mac in North Carolina in 1976; moved to the Cayman Islands to manage the Casa Bertmar Dive Resort in 1980; former Marine.
