President and owner of Dive Rite; author; former Chairman and Training Chairman of the National Speleological Society Cave Diving; board of advisors for IANTD; has mapped several underwater cave systems; team member for world record sidemount traverse (2,316 m. | 7,600 ft) connecting Telford Springs and Luraville Springs (Florida) in 1989; wrote the first sidemount specialty program for cave divers for the NSS-CDS in 1985; began diving in 1979.

Jeffrey Gallant is the Editor-in-Chief and Records Keeper of the Diving Almanac. He is also a contributing editor of DIVER Magazine, and the scientific director of the Greenland Shark and Elasmobranch Education and Research Group (GEERG). Jeffrey started diving in 1982.
