Author of The Skin Diver’s Bible, A Prisoner in Paradise, and Mother Nature, My Nature; crewmember, underwater cameraman, lecturer and spokesperson for the Cousteau Society in the 1960s; conservationist; moved to Zihuatanejo, Mexico, after retiring from the Cousteau Team in 1968; founded the Nature Study Center and Las Gatas Beach Club; producer of the documentary film The Endless Sea, narrated by actor James Mason and astronaut Scott Carpenter.
