Marine biologist; spearfisher; writer and author; videographer; started diving at age 14; four-time winner of the U.S. National Spearfishing championship; three-time world record holder for yellowfin and bluefin tuna; published his first book, BlueWater Hunting and Freediving, in 1995; subject of Blue Water Hunters documentary film (1992); principal underwater videographer and co-host for the TV series Speargun Hunter; expert witness for speargun and blackout related injuries; inventor of the Programmable Submersible Actuator (Oceanic Safety Systems), a programmable submersible life vest for freedivers; Doctor of Dental Science.
