Most people scuba diving simultaneously

2,486 — Manado, North Sulawesi (Indonesia), August 17, 2009. The record was set during Sail Bunaken 2009, a tourism event promoting Manado. Divers taking part in the record also unfurled the flag of Indonesia to celebrate its Independence Day.
There is conflicting information on the actual number of divers taking part in the event. Several sources, including Guinness World Records, claim that 2,486 divers were on the record dive. Other claims are as high as 2,861 divers.
