“I will always remember Richard as a visionary of the dive publishing industry, as a relentless and dedicated worker, a talented artist, a stalwart defender of the ocean environment, and as an unexpected and unusually candid friend who was the first to reach out and offer assistance at the launch of the Diving Almanac. He taught me a lot about the ins and outs of the publishing world, about the diving community, about following dreams, and about resilience in the face of adversity. He will be missed.” — Jeffrey Gallant
