Underwater post office [Most northerly]
Last updated: November 15, 2017 at 17:43 pm
The Risør Undervannspostkontor was first opened in Norway in 2004 at a depth of 4.5 m (15 ft). When no staff is present, divers simply leave their mail in the post office for later pick up. The post office is a fiberglass diving bell moored at a depth of 4 metres. It is serviced 2-3 times per week by volunteer divers during the summer tourist season.
