Diving Records and Aquatic Superlatives

Most dives on SCUBA in a 24-hour period

12 dives - Dennis H. Hocker (USA). While on a liveaboard, Mr. Hocker did his first dive of the day at 07:58 on 23 July, 2009, with the intention of diving twelve times in 24 hours (minimum bottom time of 30 min. at a minimum depth of 30 ft). At 04:59 the next day, he entered the water for Dive #12 exiting at 06:11. Total time logged was 9 hours and 12 min. underwater. One dive had a max depth of 29 ft. All of the other dives were at 48+ft with the deepest reaching 115 ft. Minimum bottom time was 30 min. with two dives lasting over one hour.
