Co-founder and editor of The Skin Diver, later called Skin Diver Magazine, with Jim Auxier in 1951; inventor of the Barracuda CO2 speargun, patented in 1953; freediver. The first monthly issue of The Skin Diver cost 25 cents and readers could get a yearly subscription for three dollars.
