
First shark observation suit

1978 — Neptunic Sharksuit by marine biologist Jeremiah Sullivan (a.k.a. Chain Mail Anti-Shark Suit); the suit was developed in 1978-1979 and was commercially released in 1980.
1979 — Valerie Taylor dove with sharks while wearing a chain mail suit designed by her husband, Ron Taylor. The suit was originally meant to be worn by Mr. Taylor who first came up with the idea in 1976, but it was too small.
