The Qiantang River tidal bore in China is known as the Silver (or Black) Dragon. The wave reaches up to 9 m (30 ft) at speeds up 40 km/h (25 mph).
The Amazon River tidal bore in Brazil is known as the Pororoca. It reaches up to 3.7 m (12 ft) high and speeds up to 24 km/h (15 mph).
