Most jellyfish (Lake)

Palau’s Jellyfish Lake (Palauan: Ongeim’l Tketau, i.e. Fifth Lake) contains an estimated 10 million golden mastigia jellyfish (Mastigia sp.), a landlocked species which evolved from the spotted jellyfish after it was denied access to the sea. Over the course of millennia, the jellyfish has lost its sting due to the lack of predators. Swimmers and divers may thus safely go through the masses without concern.
