Commercial diving pioneer; founder of SOGETRAM; founder of International Underwater Contractors Canada (1959) and USA (1962); founded IUC International (1970) and Deep Sea International (1978); made his first dive using the Le Prieur scuba device in a Paris swimming pool (piscine des Tourelles) in 1943; member of Jacques-Yves Cousteau’s dive team during the exploration and excavation of the Grand Congloué shipwreck in 1952; Publisher of L’Amarre aux Grenouilles from 1958 à 1961; co-founder and President of the Association of Diving Contractors; member of the French Resistance during WWII.
