OMER 5 - 8.035 knots (14.88 kph / 9.25 mph), July 2007. OMER 5 is a two-person submarine with propellers designed and built by the École de technologie supérieure (ETS) Université du Québec à Montréal. Crew: 2. The record was set during the 2007 International Submarine Races (ISR) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center near Bethesda, Maryland.
